Diana's Playpen Of Little Geniuses in Chicago, IL is looking fort Early Head Start Toddler Teacher and Infant Teacher Assistant to join our t team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged.
The Infant Assistant Teacher assists the Infant Teacher in providing effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning, assessment, evaluation, and related research for children ages newborn to 15 months.
The Early Head Start Teacher is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate learning experiences, supervision of children assigned in the classroom, and providing a supportive and positive classroom climate, while ensuring the individual needs of the children are met as mandated by Early Head Start, federal, state and local standards.
Requirements:
Assistant Teacher (Infant Room): Associate’s Degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education or related field, with a minimum of 15 college credit hours in early childhood education Bachelors in a related area with 30 ECE hours needed to qualify as a Teacher; 2 years of early childhood education experience desirable; 1 years of experience working with assigned age group desirable.

Must meet annual physical requirements Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and experience with database and/or record-keeping software Computer literacy required; must be able to navigate basic computer functions, complete online training's and communicate by email independently Ability to read, comprehend and interpret documents such as policies and procedures Demonstrated understanding of child growth and development Ability to build rapport with children, parents and families.
