Position Overview: Seeking a detail-oriented and driven Legal Assistant to bolster our team. This pivotal role supports attorneys by preparing legal documents, managing deadlines, scheduling hearings, and e-filing in mortgage foreclosure cases. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and superior organizational skills are essential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drafting pleadings, motions, affidavits, notices, and correspondence for attorney review.
- E-Filing and managing documents across various court systems.
- Maintaining case management system integrity.
- Calendaring court deadlines and coordinating meetings, hearings, and mediations.
- Preparing physical and electronic files for attorneys prior to hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Communicating professionally with clients, judicial clerks, and opposing counsels.
- Conducting general court research and monitoring of court dockets.
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to attorneys as needed.
Requirements:
- General knowledge of foreclosure proceedings preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Word.
- Exceptional multitasking, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Positive team player with the ability to work independently.
- High-speed and accurate data entry skills.
