Warehouse Associate
Dieffenbach’s Potato Chips, a leading manufacturer of kettle cooked potato chips! We are growing and looking for a Warehouse Associate who wants to grow with us. Dieffenbach’s is a third-generation family-owned business. We have 2 state-of-the-art production plants with on-site manufacturing, packaging, and fulfillment. As a Warehouse Associate at Dieffenbach’s, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and accurate handling, storage, and shipment of products. You will work closely with team members and supervisors to maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Unloading:
- Unload incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods.
- Verify the accuracy of shipment contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and report discrepancies.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation.
Order Fulfillment:
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements.
- Ensure that orders are accurate and meet quality standards. –
Shipping:
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks.
- Prepare shipping documents and labels.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to schedule pickups.
Warehouse Maintenance:
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if/when needed
