Working with produce Department Managers and Associates, you're on the front lines of the customer experience and will have a genuine impact on overall store success as you:
- Assist with stocking, display, truck unloading, quality control and inventory
- Greet customers and share your knowledge of the department's vast selection of items
- Use suggestive selling techniques to promote products
- Operate and maintain department equipment such as code gun, wrapper, scale, pallet jack and baler
- Ensure that our beautiful Produce department is well-stocked and looks showroom-worthy-after all, it's Dierbergs, and our customers expect the very best

What you need to succeed
- An approachable, friendly personality to provide the level of service that Dierbergs customers have come to expect
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to work in varied temperature-controlled environments (36-degree cooler and 45-degree prep area). This position involves repeated heavy lifting.
- Ability to follow safe food-handling guidelines and keep your work area safe and clean using company-approved equipment
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Lifting & Carrying - Up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Pushing & Pulling- Up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally
- Occasional - Sit, kneel, stoop, squat, climb, overhead reach & power grip
- Frequent - Stand, walk, head turn, side reach, grasp, pinch, finger manipulation & feel
- Constant - Handling & forward reach
