Corporate Trainer I

The Dietz & Watson Corporate Trainer is comfortable presenting to large groups, has amazing organization skills and communication skills. This successful candidate will model best practices for the entire company and embody the company’s pillars. The ideal candidate has experience leading large groups via lecture. This position provides support to the Sales department and HR department through various training events, programs and development of new content. This individual will work closely with marketing and the sales department through the direction of the Corporate Training Manager. Preparing and completing sales training sessions both internal and external for our retail associates. The successful candidate is positive and driven by results, productivity and quality. Exceptional customer service standards are a must.

Must be willing to train associates on product information and best practices in a deli environment. Examples include:

- Proper Deli Slicer Techniques
- Cleaning and Sanitation

- Promote department initiatives and identify ways to enhance training effectiveness
- Fast pace learner – being able to master all areas of food safety, product knowledge and product attributes

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- The Corporate Trainer I will live within driving distance to our Philadelphia office. Up to one hour preferred.
- Must be comfortable training in a classroom/lecture style setting and/or in a deli setting, sometimes for large groups
- Able to train in a remote setting via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- Ability to create and edit new or updated training videos or continuous learning content
- Excellent customer service, communication, and presentation skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Virtual Program Software (Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams) and Video Editing and/or Software Programming
- Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly and concisely, using correct grammar and verbiage - Ability to read, write and speak Spanish is a PLUS
- Flexibility and ability to travel extensively (including flying) and overnight stays - Up to 60% of the time. Some weekend travel and/or training will be required, and some travel requests are last minute
- 1 – 2 years of training or teaching experience
- Capable to merchandise and do drop back support in a deli/meat department when needed
- Successful completion of ServSafe Manager exam and certification, including Dual-Role Proctor & Instructor Certification (study material and cost of exam will be provided)
- BA/BS preferred
- Previous deli experience is a plus
