What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procedure Scheduler position at Digestive Disease Consultants?
Digestive Disease Consultants is a busy gastroenterology practice located in Altamonte Springs with satellite locations in Lake Mary and Oviedo. We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and professional procedure scheduler to join our team.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of one year experience as a procedure/surgical scheduler.
- Excellent customer service skills with patients, employees, and the public.
- Good organizational skills.
- Multitask with accuracy and efficiency.
- Being bilingual is a plus, but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule procedures for outpatient surgical/hospital facilities and follow-up appointments.
- Schedule in-office procedures.
- Answer phones and assist patients.
- Scanning patient information into EMR.
- Provide patient education as indicated by the provider to patients.
- Other duties as assigned
- Possibility of some travel between offices
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to converse and hear over the phone and in person in a professional manner.
Work Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office work environment
- Very limited physical effort is required
- Limited exposure to physical risk.
