We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Associate to join our team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in our operations department. You will frequently interface with manufacturing, engineering, and the CFO, and work closely with suppliers and customers.
What you will do:
- Material planning which consists of determining the requirements of raw materials, components and other items needed for production with pricing and lead time considerations.
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships; researches and evaluates vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price; selects prospective vendors and negotiates prices and contracts.
- Create and maintain partnerships with customers, clients, or third-party service providers (e.g., service/distributors) by establishing common goals, objectives, and performance target requirements to improve mechanical service and installations for customers.
- Process orders for goods and services with business partners, customers, suppliers, and Company associates, either through direct telephone contact or other electronic means, to increase speed and accuracy of order transactions.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering to support material changes and plan for new material and minimize obsolescence of old material
- Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment involving manufacturing, program management, product development teams, design engineers, supply chain, production control and logistics teams
What you will need:*
- Intellectual curiosity
- Associate degree or equivalent with relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as be organized and responsible and be a self-starter.
- Broad familiarity with computerized accounting programs, purchasing programs and spreadsheets.
- Ability to meet operational and financial targets
- Superior skills in inventory management and material control
- Work within a process controlled environment
