What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Associate Intern position at Digital Factory, Inc.?
The Human Resources Associate Intern position will directly assist the Human Resources team with a wide range of projects related to recruiting, onboarding/orientation, organizing and posting job descriptions, researching and proposing team building and culture initiatives. The position is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest, and apply them in a professional setting.
COMPENSATION:
This is a fully remote, unpaid, part-time internship (20 hours/week) with a 6–9 month commitment, with the possibility of extension and/or transition to a paid role based on performance, job requirements, and availability.
THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in set systems or HRIS systems
- Assist with performance management processes, including tracking performance evaluations and providing support to managers
- Assist with HR projects such as policy development, employee engagement initiatives, and training programs
- Manage social media platforms to promote company culture and employer branding
- Research and propose team building and company culture initiatives
- Create and manage company-wide communications
- Contribute as a strategic thinker in building a strong HR foundation for a growing start-up company
- Assist the HR team with other tasks assigned
- Working in cross functional teams
- Other Duties as Assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Have a degree or a current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in Human Resources, or management/administrative fields
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience with start-ups is a plus
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
- Demonstrated success in multi-tasking and coordinating parallel deadlines
- Strong proficiency of GSuite (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resource (PHR) certification is a plus
