Description:
Under general supervision, the Receptionist greets and directs visitors, manages a multi-line telephone system, and serves DMP customers and visitors by providing accurate and enthusiastic assistance.
In short, you will be the first face people see when they walk through the door, the voice they first hear when they call, and the person they're most likely to remember when they think of their experience with us.
Duties:
- Manages a VERY BUSY multi-line phone system by answering and directing calls to the proper person; taking messages as necessary.
- Greets and directs visitors while exceeding expectations by seeing to their comfort while they are in the reception area.
- Provides exceptional customer service to DMP's customers.
- Processes outgoing mail and monitors the postage meter.
- Maintains customer records and files related to own work. Organizes records and work efforts to assure timely accomplishments of tasks.
- Works with Illustrator and Photoshop to assist in the development of flyers and other graphics materials as needed.
- Prepares invoices for mailing and other routine clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school education (preferably supplemented by training in office procedures and skills), a minimum of two years experience as a front desk receptionist using a very busy multi-line phone system; or any other combination of training and experience.
- Possesses a smiling voice and friendly, outgoing personality with the natural ability to convey personality over the phone so that a sense of competence, confidence and empathy comes shining through.
- Working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop or other publishing software.
- Possesses a sincere desire to help people.
- Ability to handle pressure situations with grace and to keep information in confidence.
- Strong clerical skills such as data entry, typing and filing as well as use of email and postage meter
