Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Appian Developer to join our team for a long-term contract engagement with a leading banking client based in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Appian BPM development, extensive experience working in banking or financial services environments, and the ability to deliver scalable, high-performance workflow automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy complex business process applications using Appian BPM Suite.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Build reusable components, plugins, and interfaces within Appian for enterprise-level applications.
Integrate Appian applications with third-party systems and databases, including banking systems and APIs.
Perform end-to-end application testing, performance tuning, and optimization of Appian workflows.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing Appian applications in a production environment.
Follow Agile methodologies and contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and code reviews.
Ensure adherence to banking compliance, data privacy, and secure coding standards.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of professional IT experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Appian development.
Proven experience working with banking or financial services clients.
Strong understanding of Appian objects including process models, records, reports, interfaces, sites, and expressions.
Proficiency in SAML/SSO, REST/SOAP APIs, integration techniques, and Appian plug-ins.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
Solid knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and web services.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Appian certifications (Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3)
Experience with other BPM tools or RPA platforms is a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and ticketing tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow)
