Product Development Analyst

Job Description

The Product Development Analyst will be responsible for creating detailed competitive profiles and for developing market assessments, tracking CPG industry trends, and supporting strategic planning. This position will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our product portfolio.

Major Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to identify trends, gaps, consumer needs and competitive products in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
• Analyze data from various sources to provide insights and recommendations for new product development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales and manufacturing, to ensure successful product launches.
• Analyze sales data to identify success of new products and opportunities to expand.
• Evaluate new strategic business opportunities and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive competitive profiles, including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Assist in the development of competitive positioning strategies and contribute to product and marketing decisions based on intelligence findings.
• Support the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives.
• Assist with the growth of revenue of new and existing clients.
• Routinely analyze current accounts and make recommendations for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends to drive growth.
• Assist in the development of product specifications, packaging and pricing strategies.
