Direct Counsel is seeking a Junior Transactions Associate to join a nationally recognized law firm with offices in Jacksonville or Orlando.
This role sits within the firm’s Transactions Practice Group and is ideal for an early-career attorney interested in developing a long-term corporate practice. The associate will work closely with partners, senior attorneys, and clients on a range of corporate matters, with a primary focus on M&A transactions.
Key Responsibilities:

Support M&A deals and related corporate transactions

Draft and review a variety of commercial and corporate documents

Participate in client meetings and internal team strategy sessions

Contribute to due diligence, closings, and post-transaction work
Qualifications:

1–3 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities, financings, and general corporate governance

Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills

A collaborative mindset and positive attitude

JD from an ABA-accredited law school

Must be a member in good standing of the Bar in any U.S. jurisdiction; timely admission to the Florida Bar is required

The expected salary range for this role is $225,000 to $260,000, based on experience and internal equity
