In-Home Counselor Family Intensive Treatment (FIT) program
Children and Family Services: DISC Village, Inc. offers a comprehensive array of services to children and families across the Big Bend region. The FIT team provides intensive team-based, family-focused, comprehensive intervention services for high-risk families that have become involved with the child welfare system due to parental substance abuse. This six-month program strives to reunify children with families, improve family relationships, increase child’s safety, and reduce likelihood of re-entry into the child welfare system.
Responsibilities:
· Provide evidence-based, therapeutic services, and incorporate behavioral health goals and parenting interventions
· Conduct screenings, assessments, and completion of required clinical documentation
· Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
· On call with clients on assigned case load
· Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and attend child welfare meetings and court hearings
· Develop and maintain relationships with system partners
· Capture services provided within the agency’s database
Requirements:
Individual must have a minimum of a master’s degree in behavioral health sciences, such as mental health counseling, social work, art therapy, psychology, or marriage and family therapy; a minimum of two years of experience working with adults with substance use disorders.
