Discovery Education is looking for a Cloud Engineer III to join our Cloud team as we build a Platform Engineering practice from the ground up.
In This Role You Will :
- Design and implement cost-effective solutions to support our growing Platform Engineering practice
- Support efforts to migrate, improve and maintain legacy systems
- Contribute to building and refining our team standards and processes
- Participate in our on-call schedule to ensure system uptime
- Mentor other team members on relevant technologies and best practices
- Troubleshoot a wide variety of complex issues
- Effectively communicate with other teams to support innovation
- Write Terraform modules to support safe and rapid developer innovation
Core Competencies for Success :
Credentials and Experience :
Distinguished experience with distributed systems and knowledgeable on clustering principles
AWS or relevant cloud provider
This role can sit in our Charlotte headquarters or remote.
