The Lead Preschool Teacher plans lessons and instructs children in activities according to an approved curriculum designed to promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:
- Implement engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities.

- Integrate creative arts, language, math, and science into daily lessons.

- Potty training/ diaper changes may be required

Classroom Management:
- Create a warm, welcoming, and safe classroom environment.

- Manage classroom behavior and guide children in developing social skills and emotional regulation.

- Organize and maintain classroom materials and resources.

Assessment and Evaluation:
- Observe and assess each child’s progress, skills, and needs.

- Provide feedback and reports to parents or guardians regarding child development and behavior.

- Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and activities.

Communication:
- Foster open and effective communication with parents, caregivers, and colleagues.

- Address concerns and provide support to families as needed.

- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience.

Health and Safety:
- Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment.

- Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications:
o CDA or TCC
o Associate’s degree in ECCE or related field
