Discovery Ranch South, a premier healthcare institution that offers residential and experiential treatment for individuals, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Licensed Math Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing math instruction to students ranging from seventh to twelfth grade in a therapeutic setting. - Teach math courses to students in grades 7-12
- Design and implement individualized lesson plans that align with state standards
- Monitor student progress and modify lesson plans as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide integrated treatment plans for each student
- Provide academic support to students as needed
- Create a safe and therapeutic learning environment for all students
- Prepare and maintain accurate student records
- Able to pass criminal investigation background check
- Able to pass motor vehicle record check
- Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
- 1st Aid & CPR certified (we provide)
- Aegis certified (we provide)
- UT State-issued teaching license in mathematics
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics or relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience preferred
- Experience working in a therapeutic or mental health setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
- Passion for working with adolescents and promoting their academic and emotional growth
