Overview:
We are a dynamic trade show manufacturing company in Anaheim seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be the star of our HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions. This is a full-time position M-F 8:00AM - 5:00PM and seeking a bilingual (Spanish) team member to communicate with our production department.
Responsibilities:
Answers employee questions about human resources policies & procedures, & refers to upper management as needed.
- Coordinates new hire orientations, HR events, benefits and open enrollment meetings
- Administers and maintains HR activities and programs; such as staffing, benefits, and safety meetings
- Administers health plans including enrollments, changes and terminations
- Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions. Use of ADP Workforce Now
- Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains that they are current
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Ensure all policies and procedures are being consistently applied and compliant with all state law and regulations. Includes OSHA regulations
- Stay informed about labor laws and regulations to ensure all HR practices, payroll processing, terminations, and final payment laws are being followed
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
- Keep track of employee hire dates and informs managers of introductory date and 1 year anniversary date.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Acts with integrity never reveal confidential information to any employee
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- At least 5 years of HR experience
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to follow directions and take initiative when needed
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Comprehensive understanding of HR practices, laws, and regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must have reliable vehicle for errands as needed
