SUMMARY:
On call day to day subs are needed to replace the regularly appointed teacher in their absence. The substitute teacher is responsible for carrying out the lesson plans of the regularly appointed teacher for whom they are substituting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Adhere to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the regular teacher.
- Assign homework according to the teacher’s lesson plans.
- Comply with all school regulations and policies at all times.
- Take attendance and document daily notes
- Ensure classroom and work is kept clean and orderly
- Uphold an orderly classroom environment and provide a positive learning experience.
Hours:
- Hudson High School : 7:30am -2:03 pm
- Quinn Middle School: 7:47am - 2:25pm
- Farley, Forest, Mulready Elementary Schools: 8:35am - 2:55pm
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred
- DESE licensure preferred
- Must be 21 years of age to work at High School level
Pay: $18.00/hour

While performing duties of this job, the employee may often remain in a stationary position for considerable periods of time. The employee will have also have ample periods of standing and may be required to traverse throughout the building. The employee must frequently use hands and frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e., calculator, copy machine, and computer printer). Physical abilities may also include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling, stooping/crouching, reaching/handling, talking/hearing conversations, and near/far visual acuity/depth perception/color vision/field. Ability must be able to lift and/or push and pull 15 to 20lbs for short periods, and walk up and down stairs several times a day. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff members, and the public in person and on the telephone.
