What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Paraprofessional position at DISTRICT WIDE?
The State College Area School District is looking for enthusiastic and resourceful substitute paraprofessionals for the 2024-25 school year to provide assist our classroom teachers and students. The district is searching for candidates who demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development and possess various professional experiences. Substitute paraprofessionals will be reinforcing classwork, guiding activities under the supervision of a teacher, and preparing teaching materials. An outstanding substitute paraprofessional will be someone whose patient and student-centered approach enables all students to benefit from learning experiences. Substitute Paraprofessional job duties may differ with each placement. Organizational and collaborative skills are critical to success in these positions.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Guiding students in classroom assignments and activities, both individually and in groups.
- Preparing teaching materials and equipment as per the class schedule.
- Supervising students during activities such as recess and lunch.
- Assist the teacher and students with cleanup from activities.
- Perform any duties and responsibilities as assigned by the teacher or Principal in accordance with school/state policies and practices.
