DiVal Safety Equipment, a leader in the industrial safety, Fire, and EMS distribution business, is looking for an associate with a “whatever it takes” attitude. The main responsibility of this position is to provide safe, efficient, and dependable operational support in our Houston, TX branch. Reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities -
- Focus on safety at all times – safety training and direction must be adhered to at all times, reporting any existing or potential safety concerns to management.
- Driving and delivery responsibilities, including but not limited to-maintaining mileage logs, loading trucks, delivering to customer sites, and assisting sales professionals with customer feedback. (Estimated 25-75%).
- Various Warehouse activity, including but not limited to- picking, packing, shipping orders, receiving inventory, and putting stock away. (Estimated 25-75%).
- Expected to assist in receiving and put away while being asked to maintain the Vendor Discrepancy Board.
- Capable of providing onsite Vending and Vendor Managed Inventory while communicating order request from customers to sales personnel as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining certification/s of the Houston Area Safety Council site specific classes that are required annually.
- Capable of picking up local Purchase Orders and Serviced items.
- Perform additional warehouse and driving duties that may arise.
Skills and Requirements –
- Ability to pass a D.O.T. physical with drug screen.
- Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
- Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
- Valid Texas state driver’s license with a clear driving record as defined within the DiVal Safety Equipment’s Employee Handbook.
- High school diploma / GED equivalent.
