POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Lease Operator reports to the Production Foreman. The primary purpose for this position is to maintain optimum production from assigned wells, performing required repairs and maintenance and recording meter/gauge readings on a regular basis.
Special focus will be placed on:
- Maintains the production rate throughout the system
- Performs daily operational checks of assigned wells and production facilities.
- Ensures that safety devices are operational
- Tests wells to determine production rates and problems.
- Monitors equipment repairs.
- Performs housekeeping and basic maintenance of well site duties.
- Operates and maintains central production treatment/storage/compression facilities, and the operation and maintenance of water injection pumps, related equipment, and various utility support systems including oilfield boilers, centrifugal de-sanders and chemical injection equipment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 - 4 years of related oil and gas production experience.
- General knowledge of well operations, including general maintenance practices
- Ability to operate independently and manage time
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools, as well as lawn equipment
- Must possess valid driver’s license
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Manual dexterity to operate specialized equipment
- Field work environment- requires working in a variety of different weather condition
