Diversified Radiology is a thriving and growing 70 radiologist group founded in 1927 and partner with US Radiology Specialists. Our practice is dedicated to providing quality, sub-specialized care and expertise in Denver, Colorado and throughout the nation via teleradiology. Our practice is truly ‘diversified’ providing diagnostic and interventional excellence to improve patient care with different hospital systems, independent outpatient imaging centers, tertiary care centers, community hospitals, specialty practices, and stand-alone ED and urgent care centers in 18 states and growing. Responsible for enhancing patient care by assisting the Radiology Physicians in the performance of various procedures, usually under image guidance, in the diagnostic imaging environment.  Scope of work is ultimately defined by the supervising Radiologist and facility in which assigned.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensures the patient and their needs is the primary focus of their actions, while developing and sustaining productive patient relationships.
  • Actively seeks and verifies patient history as required by ACR.
  • Understands patient information and circumstances, problems, expectations and needs, while building a rapport and cooperative relationship with patient.
  • Properly prepares patients for procedures, while ensuring correct set up of support devices and proper safety protocols.
  • Performs selected radiology exams and procedures under the supervision of a radiologist.
  • Operates computerized and diagnostic imaging equipment. 
  • Calibrates and maintains radiologic equipment.
  • Evaluates image quality and makes initial image observations.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all patient records and information to ensure that patients’ rights are protected at all times.

  • Defecography
  • Esophograms
  • Modified Barium Swallows
  • Small Bowel Series
  • T-Tube Cholangiograms (post-op evaluations)
  • Upper GI Studies
  • GU Studies:
  • Cystograms
  • Logograms
  • Nephrostagrams (post-op)
  • Retrograde Urethrogram
  • VCUG
  • GYN Procedures:
  • Hysterosalpingography
  • Hysterography
  • Other:
  • Myelography
  • Lumbar Puncture
  • Joint Injection/Aspiration
  • Paracentesis
  • PICC Line Insertion
  • Thoracentesis
  • Thyroid FNA


Education and Experience Required:
  • Completion of an educational RPA program recognized by the Board of Directors of the Certification Board of Radiology Practitioner Assistants with current certification as an RPA by the CBRPA or considered eligible for the CBRPA RPA certification exam, or
  • Completion of an education RPA/RRA program recognized by ARRT with current certification as an RRA by the ARRT or considered eligible for the ARRT RRA certification exam.
  • Licensed with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) and credentialed to provide primary radiology health care with physician supervision.
  • Minimum of two years prior experience as a Radiology Technologist required.
  • Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) skills required.
  • Validation of participation in continuing education activities with a minimum of 24 CE credits biennially.
  • Certification of training in Fluoroscopic Radiation by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Associates of Physicists in Medicine RMAAPM.
  • Previous experience working in a HIPAA regulated facility is required.
  • Trained in barium studies, lumbar puncture, myelogram, joint injections/aspiration/arthrogram, NG tubes, HSG, Urography and Urethrocystography required.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to successfully correspond with medical staff, technical staff, and patients.
  • Personable and courteous with all personnel at facilities, corporate office, patients, and extended family.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality.
  • Highly motivated, ability to work with little supervision.
  • Working knowledge of hospital/imaging policy and safety procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems; ability to think analytically.
  • Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from data.
  • Ability to concentrate and maintain details with constant interruption.
  • Comfortable interacting with disabled individuals.


Environmental/Working Conditions:
  • Working in a hospital, outpatient facility or diagnostic imaging center. 
  • Possible exposure to negligible electronmagnetic radiation.  


Physical/Mental Demands:
  • Moderate amount of lifting, reaching, and bending. 
  • Position requires walking and standing 90% of time. 
  • Travel between facilities up to75%.

Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
