Project Manager

The scope of this position includes management for all financial, commercial, contractual, and technical aspects of Advanced Electrical Service (AES) projects. The scope also includes oversight of the planning, design, procurement, assembly, test, shipment and commissioning of AES projects. The person in this position will provide commercial and technical support to various cross-functional teams including engineering, purchasing, production and field service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Oversee projects by working with design, contract, commercial and production planning specialists.

· Exercise considerable latitude in determination of commercial objectives.

· Provide project oversite from Order Entry through Final Commissioning & Close-out of Advanced Electrical Services (AES) projects.

· Ensure all technical and commercial strategies are well understood throughout the Production and Engineering project teams.

· Coordinate project schedules with external customers as well as internal cross-functional teams.

· Interface with customers on technical and commercial matters.

· Prepare cost estimates at booking, shipment and at completion of start-up.

· Regularly monitor project schedule progress with engineering, procurement, and production operations.

· Monitor Customer Drawings and reviews and approve Operation & Maintenance Manuals.

· Regularly check progress of AES projects on production floor to ensure compliance with specifications.

· Ensure adherence to project milestones; and resolve issues.

· Represent customers’ interests with respect to resolution of quality issues.

· Assure project revenue recognition and profitability are aligned with Company financial plans.

· Regularly interact internally with project managers, department leaders, business managers, production managers, product support teams, and engineering teams.

· External interactions will include project managers and sales management for Dealers, as well as major clients, and sub-suppliers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Associate's degree with 5 years' experience OR

· Bachelor's degree with 3 years' additional job experience.

· Master's degree or above.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Strong grasp of project management methodologies.

· Strong business acumen.

· Microsoft Office 365 Suite experience.

· Strong Microsoft Excel Skills.

· Electric power/genset/backup power experience, but other industry experience will be considered as long as commercial and business skill sets are evident.

DESIRED SKILLS:

· Adobe PDF Editing experience (or PDF Nitro).

· Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Strong Time Management capabilities.

· Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to effectively multi-task.

· Negotiation skills.

· Must be a self-starter, able to approach complex issues with innovative and inventive solutions.
