Key Responsibilities:
- Review and manage staff deliverables, including tax returns, extensions, tax planning, and write-up work for various entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Fiduciary, Non-Profit, Gift, and Multi-State)
- Prepare complex federal and state income taxes for individuals, entities, and trusts
- Conduct complex research, preparing detailed memorandums with findings and conclusions
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted business advisor
- Train and mentor staff, providing performance evaluations and feedback
- Manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals while identifying and mitigating tax risks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required / Master’s degree preferred
- CPA or EA certification is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience preparing tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts within a CPA firm
- Minimum of 2 years of experience reviewing tax returns and financial statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax software (preferably Lacerte)
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: $80K–$105K with guaranteed overtime/comp time
