What are the responsibilities and job description for the Millwork Project Manager position at Division 6 Fabrication and Installation?
Division 6 Fabrication and Installation is a high end commercial millwork fabricator, specializing in interior office build-outs, hospitals and medical facilities, restaurants and high end ornate woodworking.
Currently we are seeking a full time, experienced Project Manager. We offer a competitive wage and benefits higher than the current industry standard.
Essential Functions of this Position Include:
- Candidate must be able to work closely with Architects and general contractors to ensure a successful completion of project to clients’ expectations.
- Maintain and utilize an accurate and organized digital file structure.
- Be able to read and understand architectural drawings, ID sets and even rough sketches to accurately interpret the client’s wishes.
- Be able to accurately and efficiently relay project requirements to Project Engineers to generate shop drawings.
- Be able to visualize products and foresee complications in fabrication and installation and make needed corrections before product begins production.
- Excellent communication skills are a must and must be willing to help to resolve issues related to scheduling, inaccurate drawings, change requests, and software needs.
- Work with production staff to ensure the accuracy of millwork being constructed and to quality check products prior to shipping.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of company software including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Applications and Bluebeam and be willing to actively participate in company provided training when required.
- Candidate must be willing to utilize mobile devices (Cell Phone and Tablets) to remain available to clients and company employees while doing work outside the office.
- This position will require travel as required to project jobsites for meetings, field dimensioning, and coordinating with subcontractors.
- Other duties will be required as assigned by company.
Job Requirements
- Experience with AutoCAD is a plus, but is not required.
- Proficiency with computers and the complete Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with Bluebeam software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Knowledge of millwork production materials & techniques and the ability to identify problems with fabrication and installation, before the product moves to production.
- Hands on experience as a bench or field carpenter is preferred.
- Experience with Cabinet Vision is preferred but not required.
- Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure are required.
- Critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Must have a “Do whatever it takes” attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $30.00 per hour
