Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) with a proven track record leading Agile Release Trains (ART) and managing Program Increment (PI) planning within a SAFe environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Agile frameworks, excellent communication skills, and preferably a background in wealth management or financial services.
Key Responsibilities
Program Increment (PI) Planning & Execution
- Lead and facilitate key ART ceremonies such as PI Planning, ART Sync, PO Sync, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
- Track and manage feature execution through ART Kanban boards; ensure teams meet the Definition of Done.
- Support cross-team coordination, resolve interdependencies, and escalate issues to ensure successful delivery.
Delivery & Performance Measurement
- Monitor and report on ART delivery metrics, including PI predictability, feature burndown, cycle time, and velocity.
- Drive continuous improvement and team performance using flow metrics and dashboards.
- Oversee proper usage of Azure DevOps (ADO) to maintain high data integrity and reporting accuracy.
Release Coordination & Risk Management
- Align teams on release milestones, cadence, and delivery goals.
- Coordinate deployment and release activities across the ART.
- Identify and mitigate risks and impediments impacting delivery in collaboration with product and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience leading Agile Release Trains (ART) and facilitating PI Planning sessions in a SAFe environment.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) or other enterprise Agile planning tools (e.g., Planview, Jira Align, Rally).
- Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor Agile teams.
- Proven leadership and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Agile and project management certifications (e.g., SAFe RTE, SA, SPC, CSM, CSP, PMI).
- Background in the financial services or wealth management sector.
Note: Candidates must have recent and direct experience as an RTE leading ARTs and facilitating PI Planning. Financial industry experience is a strong plus.
