CNC Mill Machinist

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

• Love to get their hands dirty, be known as a “gearhead”,
• Be a self-starter, able to complete tasks using their knowledge and skill,
• Be experienced with several types of CNC Vertical and / or Horizontal Mills
  

THE CNC MILL MACHINIST WILL:

• Interpret blueprints to set up and operate a vertical or horizontal CNC Mill to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. 
• Determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup, make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds, measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
• Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine materials, parts, and equipment required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma, vocational training preferred
• At least five years of machine shop experience with experience running a variety of horizontal and/ or vertical CNC Millsmills
• Ability to read blueprints and calculate dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to use inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometer to ensure part is within specifications.
