Position Overview:
As a bartender, you’ll be the heart of our guest experience. You’ll craft quality drinks, provide friendly service, and keep the energy high while making sure every guest feels like they’re part of the family. We want someone who thrives in a lively environment, loves music, and understands the impact a great bartender can have on both the vibe of the room and the long-term success of a venue.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take beverage orders from guests
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with DLS Events
- standard drink recipes and item limit requirements
- Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the POS system
- Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change
- Set up bar stations
- Break down / clean stations at end of night
- Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
- Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas
- Receive and serve food orders to guests at the bar
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the
- Business as directed by the manager or immediate supervisor
- Do rotations as a server for Premium Seating areas
- Other tasks as required by management or leadership

QUALIFICATIONS
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a POS system
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 20 pounds
- Be able to walk up and down stairs with server trays
- Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- All state- or locally-mandated certification requirements (IN Alcohol Server Permit)
A background check is required for this position
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $5.00 - $10.00 per hour
