Position Overview:

The Catalog Content Specialist is responsible for entering and maintaining accurate DMA product data in accordance with Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standards (ACES and Product Information Exchange Standards (PIES) The Content Specialist works closely with Marketing, Sales, Customers, and Product Management, in maintaining digital assets and customer-facing product across all DMA product lines and is on site located in Loris, SC.


Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate ACES/PIES catalog data for all automotive product categories
  • Assist in building data files for product pricing and product set up information required by customers
  • Evaluate current and new data to ensure that it is complete, accurate and updated on a timely basis ensuring data consistency across product lines and that all data requirements are identified and acquired
  • Build efficiencies across the functional team so that new and existing product content is accurate and inclusive of elements to drive sales
  • Develop and maintain relationships with supplier and industry catalog partners to facilitate the collection and dissemination of high-quality product data
  • Work closely with the Product Development and Product Management Team to ensure complete and accurate product content and digital assets are collected from vendors and other relevant sources
  • Work with cross-functional teams, internal and external stakeholders to resolve content issues Identify business critical data elements that are missing and determine best approach to obtain missing information
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the product content and digital asset processes for relevant initiatives and stakeholders
  • Catalog new samples considered for product additions 
  • Manage product image and other digital image assets to meet customer requirements
  • Manage the additions of new products, pricing files and set creations
  • Maintains SKU assignments and loading new part number data at major customers and distributors
  • Maintains the GS1 UPC number registrations
  • Assist the Product Management team in developing an accurate and efficient SOPs and reports for the Department


Requirements

Requirement:

  • High School diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing catalog content or bachelor's degree in business or information systems and 1-3 year's relevant experience
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving capabilities and excellent customer service
  • Must demonstrate good organizational and follow-up skills and work independently with minimal supervision, including ability to balance multiple tasks
  • Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects in varying degrees of implementation
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Software required, as is the ability to quickly learn and use job specific computer applications
  • Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, including ability to read, analyze and interpret general business information and write business correspondence
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with team members

Other:

  • Incumbent work hours/schedule and/or shift are subject to change based on business needs and Management discretion
  • Other duties may be assigned as business necessitates
  • Company has a “Zero Tolerance” policy regarding insubordination and/or refusal to carry out work as directed. This can result in immediate separation of employment
