What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern - IT/OT Analyst - Summer 2025 position at DMI Companies?
Assist with supporting the integration and optimization of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems within a manufacturing and shipping environment. The intern will focus on extracting data from various systems, setting up new technologies and assisting with the deployment of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions and applications. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real-world projects that enhance process efficiency, data visibility and smart manufacturing capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extract data from OT systems, such as Infor, PLCs, MES, and ensure proper integration with IT systems.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT / OT hardware and software, including IIoT devices.
- Collaborate with IT and OT teams to streamline data collection and ensure accurate data flow between systems.
- Support the development and implementation of dashboards (excel) and visualization tools for monitoring and reporting purposes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IT / OT integration and system performance.
- Participate in the deployment and testing of new technologies in the manufacturing environment.
- Document system configurations, workflows, and best practices to support long-term system scalability and reliability.
- Support and collaborate with other IT / OT Project leads and team members.
