What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Coordinator - Innovation Boulevard Afterschool Program position at DNOVA?
Innovation Boulevard is a new afterschool program held at Belzer and Fall Creek Valley Middle Schools. It is a 21st century Community learner center program provided by Health and Science Innovations in partnership with the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township. Innovation Boulevard will feature afterschool programming Monday through Thursday while occasionally on Friday nights there will be Showcase and Family nights to show families what participants have been doing in the program. Goals of the program are to promote the 21st Century Scholars' program and activities, improve academic and social outcomes, and increase family involvement in student's education.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and focused Innovation Boulevard Site Coordinator to be responsible for coordinating an after-school program at Belzer or Fall Creek Valley Middle schools. The Innovation Boulevard Site Coordinator responsibilities include executing and facilitating scheduled programming,
Coordinate Site leaders and programming providers and supporting students among other duties.
A successful Innovation Boulevard Site Coordinator should be meticulous about keeping records, be able to communicate effectively and connect with constituents, and be passionate about the mission of the organization and about supporting the community. You should uphold the values of our organization while ensuring the comfort of our team. This position reports directly to the program manager. This position requires traveling within central Indiana.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Make sure the site is complying to licensing (ratio, postings, etc)
- Prepare afternoon snack, have procedures for ordering, delivery, and clean-up of snack.
- Have sign-in sheets ready for each leader's group and on their clipboard.
- Maintain the school office in a neat and orderly manner.
- Maintain staff and student files for licensing.
- Execute and facilitate schedule programing.
- Coordinate Site leaders and programming providers
- Track attendance and documentation of hours for 21st Century
- Monitor hours of staff.
- Be available to other site if needed to meet ratio requirements.
- Monitor visitors that come into the building, following safe schools plan set by principal.
- Is consistently at work, on time, and ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
- Follow all staff handbook protocols (i.e., Dress code, appropriate language, etc.)
- Facilitate training for staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
The Innovation Boulevard Site Coordinator will be thoroughly committed to Health & Science Innovations' mission.
Demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:
- B.S. or B.A. degree
- Must have experience working with children and parents.
- Being an Employee of MSDLT is preferred
- Practicing experience with program coordination/management, supervision, education, teaching, and development preferred.
- Experience serving and working with various community populations (e.g. children, youth, adults) preferred.
- Experience with grant writing, fundraising, donor engagement preferred.
- Unwavering commitment to quality proposals, reports, and publications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Marketing experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures preferred.
- Action-oriented, adaptable, proactive, and innovative approach to solve challenges.
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people, as well as independently.
