General Statement
The Process Engineer is responsible for improving the quality, efficiency, throughput rate, yield, cost position, and operating ratio of continuous web coating processes in a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Process Engineer will lead the operations group effort in testing and qualification of new products and processes, improving existing performance, and reducing losses.

Duties, Responsibilities & Authority:*
- The Process Engineer must be/become the overall process expert and the key contact point for all process issues, and improvement actions.
- Establish and control clear processes for the transition of items from Project to Process/Production stage.
- Identify and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for process performance and product quality.
- Improve process reliability and uptime through continuous improvement projects.
- Lead and/or support cost reduction activities throughout responsible area, and support cost reduction activities throughout DNP.
- Assist in process qualification & testing for new products, formulations changes, process modifications, or other technical changes.
- Ensure all testing, development, upgrades, improvements, projects and modifications are performed in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements.
- Identify and establish procedures, checklists, troubleshooting guides,
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and staff on the knowledge and skill development of production supervision and personnel.

Job Requirements / Qualifications*
- *
*Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required
- Mechanical Engineering degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ related experience
- Drafting/AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Experience in Film or Paper Web Coating and Converting, Extrusion Coating, Paper/Pulp Converting, or similar high speed, rotating equipment environment preferred
- Experience in chemical mixing / blending operation preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NEC preferred
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel
