What are the responsibilities and job description for the TTR SLITTER position at DNP Imagingcomm America Corporation?
Operates slitting machines to roll TTR onto cores per specification of order. Work to achieve weekly, monthly and annual output targets
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- To set up and operate slitting machines according to the appropriate “machine operator’s manual” under direction of the supervisor.
- Carry and supply materials to the machines.
- Remove finished product from the machine.
- Supervisors will determine the machine each operator is assigned to. Operators will be cross-trained to operate different machines.
- Recommend productivity improvement plans and cost reduction plans (Total Productive Maintenance activity). Investigate and analyze causes of target frustration.
- Help train other machine operators.
- Facilitate internal communication and working relationships within areas of responsibility.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED; or related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience.
- Competent use of calipers and wrenches.
- The ability to read and interpret job orders, specifications and production schedules.
- Must be able to enter data into computerized ERP system and manual work orders.
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reasoning ability – the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to work independently and take appropriate corrective action when minor problems arise.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for 12 hour shifts. The employee is occasionally required to walk, squat and occasionally kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must constantly reach, grasp, bend and twist or rotate body. The employee must frequently push/pull carts of approximately 1,000 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Due to the nature of the work performed in this job, the employee is required to wear safety glasses, safety gloves when needed, and ANSII approved steel or composite toed footwear.
