Are you interested in joining our internationally respected clinical laboratory located west of Chicago in beautiful St., Charles, IL? Doctor’s Data, Inc. is seeking a Manager of our Chemistry Department. This position will allow you to apply your chemistry knowledge and experience as you manage production and test development needs.
This management position provides leadership and direction for chemistry operations. Under the direction of the Laboratory Director and Assistant Laboratory Director, you’ll supervise and direct technical personnel and perform tests in a clinical chemistry department. Additional responsibilities include: Proper performance and coordination of day-to-day activities; Ensuring instruments are functioning at peak; Oversight of processes and procedures.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Day-to-day supervision of all personnel, testing performance, corrective actions, and process improvement
- Assure proper instrumentation, validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Assist with development and implementation of new analytical methods.
- Assure all procedures and documents are current including SOPs
- Maintain QA/QC records and programs
- Oversee laboratory personnel hiring, performance, training, and competency
- Monitor and maintain strict CLIA, and other licensing compliance
- Ensure the highest standard in patient test results
- Manage and report any action or activity that jeopardizes the safety and integrity of tests, processes, and personnel.
- Lab inventory management
Minimum Preferred Profile:
- MD, PhD, and 1 years clinical experience; or
- Master’s in a Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science and 2 years-experience in a clinical environment; or
- Bachelor’s in Chemical, Physical, Biological Science and 4 years- experience in a clinical environment or Bachelor’s in Medical Technology and 2 years clinical experience.
- Management experience preferred
- MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred
