Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a lead Registered Nurse located at our start-up Intermediate Care Center (ICC) in Winter Park, FL, which operates similarly to a Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED). The Nursing lead provides operational leadership and clinical expertise at the ICC. This role ensures high-quality patient care delivery, nurse peer competency, and adherence to practice standards. The Nursing lead works closely with the Nursing Director and Medical Director to develop and implement policies and procedures, maintain excellent patient experience, and ensure efficient use of resources. This role also oversees department inventory (meds), equipment checklists/management, and vendor list organization to support seamless operations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field are highly desirable.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license or equivalent in FL.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hospital-based experience with some leadership or administrative experience.
- Skills: Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making abilities. Experience in quality improvement, policy development, and healthcare operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an Emergency Department, Urgent Care, or Acute Care setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly eClinicalWorks.
- Knowledge of value-based care models and ambulatory healthcare delivery.
- Certifications: Advanced certifications such as Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Certified Nurse Executive (CNE), or equivalent is highly desirable.
