Sr. Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient monthly, quarterly and annual close and financial reporting process. You pay great attention to detail and possess the ability to deliver results under deadlines as well as work effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager and is designated Flex.

Responsibility

• Own assigned areas of the month end close process from end-to-end, including preparing journal entries related but not limited to stock-based compensation, debt, investments, etc.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
• Analyze monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
• Assist with preparation of financial statements, footnotes and related tie-outs, including coordination of related support
• Combine GAAP accounting knowledge, operational experience and critical thinking to problem-solve
• Participate in automation efforts and other process improvements
• Support quarterly reviews, annual audits and SOX documentation
• Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Basic

• BA/BS degree with a CPA or equivalent
• 5 years accounting experience

Preferred

• Prior accounting or assurance experience within consultancy or Big Four
• High degree of analytical and problem-solving capability
• Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Ability to work independently and balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Experience in a large corporation or SaaS technology company
• Experience with Oracle or other large well-known ERP or accounting systems
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization

Based on legislation in Washington state the following details are for individuals who reside and would be working in Washington only: Washington pay range: $77,100 - $107,050 base salary.

Based on legislation in California the following details are for individuals who reside and would be working in California only: California pay range $82,300 - $121,300 base salary.
