We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Shipping Team Leader. This position reports to Production Plant Manager and will work in Litchfield.
As Shipping Team Leader of the Litchfield team, you will be involved with the daily operations within the Shipping Department to ensure accurate and timely processing of all orders efficiently. Provide coaching assistance to the team members while maintaining all company policies and procedures.
General Responsibilities
- Manage all areas of replenishment from the Building 1 shipping area to Building 2.
- Verify product and quantity on transfer skids.
- Release bulk cable orders for replenishment and communicate with Supervisor.
- Coordinate box truck deliveries to and from Building 3.
- Understand and be able to operate FourthShift and Production Management.
- Disperse returns from Building 2 to the correct department and move product in FourthShift.
- Verify inventory accuracy in FourthShift at shipping area locations and returns from Building 2.
- Process parcel shipments and manually review and confirm bill of ladings when required.
- Work with Logistics to arrange shipments and keep records of shipments when required.
- Order supplies for Shipping and other areas; keep track of expense cardboard in Building 1.
- Data entry and complete paperwork when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with several departments including Customer Service, Production, Building 2, and Material Handlers via emails, face-to-face and phone calls.
- Assist with any special projects.

Skills & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years’ experience within Shipping/Distribution industry
- Fourth Shift proficient user
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Forklift motor certified or the ability to become certified
- Being able to work independently
- Be a team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have exceptional decision-making abilities
- Must be accurate and have exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal and motivational capabilities
- Effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines
- Efficiently coordinate tasks with internal and external employees of the company
- Must pass the required job protocol physical test as administered by Apex Physical Therapy
Note: Failure to maintain any of these qualifications may result in disqualification from the position.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, stoop, lift and perform manual dexterity.
- Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation during normal business hours designated for the position.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to operate related material handling and skid wrapping equipment.
