Position Title: Transfer Articulation Specialist
Department: Office of the Registrar
Reports To: University Registrar
Location: Remote
 
Position Summary: 
Provides clerical support related to transfer articulation entry into the student information system. This work is being supported by the Title III grant to provide critical infrastructure improvements resulting in increasing the number of transfer guides and creating a smoother experience for students looking to transfer to Dominican University. The goal is to enter transfer articulation decisions from a shared drive into the appropriate organization within the student information system’s Catalog Master. This position will interact with the Transfer Admissions office and Senior Associate Registrar and reports to the University Registrar.
 
This position is funded by the Title III-F HSI STEM grant (#P031C210006) through 9/30/2026. The work of the Transfer Articulation Specialist is expected to reduce transfer barriers and increase STEM transfer student success (Part 1, objectives 5,6, and 9).

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  1. Data Entry
    1. Access information from the H: Drive
    2. Identify or build, if necessary, the appropriate Organization
    3. Enter in the course equivalency and any related CORE designations
 
  1. Quality Control
    1. Work with the Senior Associate Registrar and Transfer Admissions Director on any questions regarding course equivalency decisions.
    2. Work with Senior Associate Registrar and Transfer Admissions Director on transfer guide output, ensuring items display correctly.

Required Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of curriculum management experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using student information systems

    Proficiency in MS Office programs and student database systems
  • Demonstrated ability with accurate and efficient keyboarding skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically in both oral and written forms to various stakeholders, including students, faculty, and administrative personnel.
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience with Jenzabar One
  • 5 years of experience working in a registrar office focusing on curriculum management.
  • Previous experience with HSIs or minority serving institutions
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to spend long durations of the workday sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Salary and FLSA Status
  • Salary: $ 21.00 - $24.00
  • FLSA Status: (non-exempt/hourly; PT20)
