What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at Don Quijote (USA) Co., Ltd?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares and bakes a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods in a retail bakery. Will be required to operate bakery equipment, such as mixer, proofer, ovens, fryer, and bread slicer, in the production of the baked goods. Will also package, label and stock bakery goods. Is also responsible to clean and sanitize bakery tools and equipment on a daily basis. May be assigned other related duties.
BACKGROUND: One (1) year experience prepping and/or baking in a “Scratch Bakery” is helpful but not necessary. We are willing to train, however, if you are not qualified, you will be offered a position as a Bakery Clerk to start and work up from there. Pay is adjusted to Bakery Clerk.
PERSONALREQUIREMENTS:

Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift 50 lbs with medium effort
Able to push/pull 200 lbs using pallet jacks or carts
Able to constantly use arms to measure, pour, mix, knead and shape ingredients
Able to stand and move about during two (2) hours durations
Able to do medium amount of bending, stooping, squatting, climbing and reaching above shoulders
SCHEDULE: Schedule will vary depending on shift
Bakery Operating hours are Monday thru Sunday, 5:00 am to 5:00 pm
