Summary: The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for production of land surveys and supporting documents through close coordination with the firm’s professional surveying and engineering staff.
Responsibilities:
- Process conventional field notes and digitally collected data, analyze field data, perform deed/utility research, prepare final survey documents/exhibits and interact with survey field crews.
- Embrace new technologies including production of 3D point clouds created from data collected conventionally and with Drones (UAV), LiDAR, photogrammetry and Global Positioning Systems.
- Interpret legal descriptions, survey maps, subdivision plats and construction drawings.
- Compute, process and map field data in an organized and comprehensive manner.
- Perform QA/QC checks on work performed by self and others.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Training Certifications (CST, MOT, CPR, first aid, etc.) desirable.
- Degree in Surveying and Mapping, Geomatics, GIS or civil engineering a plus.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with surveying and mapping technologies.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Word, Excel and Outlook required.
