As of ritght now only needed for Monday's, Tuesday, and Thursday's but can become a full time position. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after procedures.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
- Perform administrative tasks such as managing inventory and ordering supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards.
Skills
- Proficient in dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Experience in dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and patient management.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus for working with younger patients.
- Familiarity with prosthodontics procedures is advantageous.
- Experience using Epic or similar dental software for record management is preferred.
- Ability to monitor vital signs as part of patient assessments.
- Skilled in assisting with various dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Experience with 3D scanners for digital impressions is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an efficient dental clinic environment.
