Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a for first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Machinist II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist II is responsible for performing machine setups, tool changes, Punch Press, and adjusting as necessary.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $23/hr - $25/hr plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)
What You Will Do
- Follow operation instructions; operate machine according to standard operating instructions
- Monitor and maintain equipment safely, load stock and empty scrap hoppers with fork trucks
- Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP).
- Load setup automatic and transfer equipment in to presses .
- Using micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparator
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Extensive experience operating, setups, tool changes, etc.
- Understanding of shop math & blueprint reading/comprehension Geometric Dimensional and Tolerance ( GD&T).
- Ability to perform advanced quality inspections.
- Professional communication skills.
- SAP or Enterprise system knowledge
- Understanding in the application of similar quality control concepts
- Computer proficient and lean skills
