EMC Mechanical Services is searching for a commercial Plumbing Mechanic to join our Special Projects team! The Plumbing Mechanic is responsible for the assembly and install of all plumbing systems on a project. The ability to read prints and locate the necessary information on them is vital to this position. In addition to the plumbing work, each Plumbing Mechanic is responsible for utilizing and teaching any plumbing apprentices or helpers who have been assigned to assist them.

What You’ll Do:
- Assemble and route plumbing systems.
- Create lists of necessary materials for each project and verifying those materials are available before they are required.
- Lay out holes in existing walls for pipe installation, must be able to leave detailed marks to eliminate confusion for others on the jobsite.
- Train apprentices and helpers.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Commercial Plumbing industry.
- Journeyman’s license is preferred.
What We Are Looking for:
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of basic electricity, electrical and control systems.
- Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
- Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned, to include working varying schedules that may require extended hours and require client-specific safety standards.
- Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
