DOUG ASHY BUILDING MATERIALS has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Assistant Dispatcher at our Louisiana Drywall Roofing and Specialties location. We offer competitive pay and excellent benefits.
Job Functions:
Required qualifications:
- Assist in overseeing operations of the warehouse/yard.
- Maintains vehicle records daily log inspections.
- Coordinates & schedules the delivery of products to customers.
- Assist in assigning drivers and vehicles; enters assignment data in computer database.
- Takes customer’s orders and ensures accurate and timely fulfillment of orders.
- Assists Manager with warehouse/yard personnel, including corrective action.
- Conducts safety inspections of the fleet and warehouse/yard in accordance with company policy as well as D.O.T. and safety regulations.
- Communicates transfer requests to manager to ensure completion of customer requests.
Required qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience in building materials or warehouse industry experience required; experience in construction sites helpful.
- Can pass a required Drug Screen, Physical and Physical Evaluation.
- Strong organizational skills; leadership and ability to direct and motivate employees.
- Ability to read and write and have basic math skills.
- Computer skills.
- Capable of lifting a minimum 100 lbs. and other manual duties.
- Ability to work every other Saturday (half-day).
- Customer services skills and dependable.
Salary : $23,700 - $30,000
