What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance Superintendent position at Dougherty County?
The Dougherty County Facilities Management Department has a vacancy for a Building Maintenance Superintendent.Employee in this position is responsible for, but not limited to: inspecting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on building operations which include electrical, HVAC, water treatment, plumbing, painting and carpentry; maintaining inventory of chemicals to treat water; coordinating all contractor’s efforts and responding to emergency calls; and responding to and working well with building occupants to create a comfortable, safe, clean and conducive working environment.Associate’s Degree, vocational technical degree, or specialized training equivalent to satisfactory completion of two (2) years of college education with emphasis in building construction, or a closely related field. Must have one (1) year of experience in building construction or related experience; or any equivalent related combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
