The SVP of Dow Jones Finance will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in overseeing all aspects of the financial management and strategy of the organization. This position requires leadership in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and strategic analysis, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

The SVP of Dow Jones Finance will play a critical role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in overseeing all aspects of the financial management and strategy of the organization. Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Partner with the CFO in developing and implementing the organization’s financial strategies and goals.
- Support financial decision-making processes and provide senior leadership with data-driven insights.
- Lead the budgeting and long range planning process to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and objectives.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets, analyzing variances and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Proactively raise items to CFO & CEO for decisioning with the broader Dow Jones leadership team.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of financial materials for internal and external communications
- Work closely with News Corp. investor relations in managing investor guidance & communications.
- Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
- Evaluate and recommend potential investment opportunities
- Partner with CFO on building a cutting edge finance team providing superior business support through insights and analytics powered by modern tools & technologies
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of financial information and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of financial software, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate teams, and collaborate across departments.
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and other complex financial transactions is a plus.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and align financial decisions with company strategy.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to address complex financial issues.
