Animal Hospital Maintenance/Kennel Technician

Animal Hospital Maintenance and Animal Caretaker needed from 7:30am-1pm M-F and one full weekend day (a split shift). Serious Inquiries only. Seeking long term employee.

Duties would include:

Animal Hospital Maintenance:

• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and buffing hospital floors.
• Dusting, cleaning windows.
• Washing Dishes and laundry.
• Maintaining lighting inside and outside of hospital
• Outdoor grounds maintenance including snow removal in winter.

Animal Caretaker Duties:

• Maintain cleanliness of the kennel areas to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitary environment.
• Handle general tasks and daily record keeping associated with the care of the boarding dogs and cats. Duties will include feeding, administering medications, bathing, and reporting issues to a veterinary staff member.
• Assist veterinary technicians when needed.
• Communicate in a professional and respectful manner with clients and staff.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous experience handling dogs and cats.
• Core skills such as kennel experience, animal handling, and pet care are essential for this role.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond professionally in high stress and/or emergency situations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in computer systems and software.
• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
• Ability to stand and move about the facility for up to 100% of shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds unassisted and bend, stoop and lift frequently.
• Must be comfortable in a loud high energy environment.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.

Job Type: Part-time
