What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Worker position at Downtown Rescue Mission?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Load/unload all deliveries and donations. Work on the dock and in warehouse when not assists driver and other duties as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide courteous and professional moving services for all customers and donors.
- Provide receipts to donors. Handle donations and deliveries properly and with care.
- Follow all safety procedures, lifting procedures and take necessary precautions to prevent injury.
- Accurately maintain delivery and pick-up records, promptly turning them in to the Store Manager.
- Perform other duties and attend meetings as assigned by Store Manager.
- Maintain safe operation, cleanliness and upkeep of all DRM vehicles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time; reaching, lifting 50 lbs. unassisted required; ability to move large appliances, large furniture and boxes; ability to communicate, read, count and write; ability to work varied hours and days as business dictates.
Full Time and Part Time position available.
