What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist position at DPT Management?
Doctors of Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist. Growth and leadership opportunities are available! ASAP start a plus. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the complete Life Cycle of a claim and have prior medical insurance posting experience.
Experience and Skills:**
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 1-year of medical insurance posting or cash application skills.
Strong work ethic and reliability are a must.
Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills required
Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-changing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word.
Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
Willingness to learn and grow their leadership abilities.
Creative, self-disciplined, and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.
Heavy computer work- knowledge of computer navigation is a must.
Hours: Monday-Friday 830-5pm
Duties included but not limited to:
Allocating insurance payments to patients' claims
Allocating patient payments to accounts
Processing credit card payments accordingly.
Reconciliation of payments day to day, month-end.
Troubleshooting incorrect payments and assigning to AR team.
Troubleshooting payment errors and making corrections
Field inbound patient calls
Supporting other team members
Other tasks assigned
Applicant must be enthusiastic, must be able to multi-task and proactively problem solve.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
