Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, patient care, and administrative support to facilitate the smooth operation of the dental office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Perform medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulations.
  • Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health before procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Support various dental specialties, including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
  • Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

Skills

  • Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, particularly X-ray procedures.
  • Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental software is desirable but not necessary.
  • Knowledge of endodontics, prosthodontics is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
  • Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond to patient needs effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members professionally.
  • Attention to detail in medical documentation and record keeping.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
