Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Perform medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulations.
- Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health before procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Support various dental specialties, including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, particularly X-ray procedures.
- Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental software is desirable but not necessary.
- Knowledge of endodontics, prosthodontics is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond to patient needs effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members professionally.
- Attention to detail in medical documentation and record keeping.
